I need recommendations for child therapists, one specializing in ADHD issues and one that deals with phobias/anxiety. We are in NYC thought any location could work as we will do remote. Preferably someone who takes insurance though sadly I realize that is a tall order. TIA! [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

The NYU child study center. Park and 33rd. They take insurance but sadly our insurance does not cover sessions. My DD sees them for anxiety/depression. They are pricey at $300 for 45 minutes. Ugh [ Reply | More

I think insurance is just not effective in this area. My kids’ insurance anyway. Try groups that specialize in this stuff like Brooklyn Special Kids and YBM special needs, which is a really different climate from ybm main board. If you are on the UWS CUNY has a grad student clinic up at their Manhattanviole campus. And Before you separate from child mind you can also ask them what else is available. They have a lot of connections and a lot of grad students around. [ Reply | More
