So is urbanbaby.net a sure thing? Or DC Urban? I’m a Seattle mom who has been on UB for years. I like the varied conversations And have received great advice over the years. I want to “follow” the group to the next spot. How will we know where we’re going? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Can’t they create a board under DC Urban called Urban Baby or Urban Moms? The problem with that board is that there are so many categories and I like being able to see what everyone is posting, even if it doesn’t pertain to me. For instance, I have a college kid but still am interested in posts about babies and young kids or K admissions. Also, while UB has a NY emphasis there are many of us not in NY. [ Reply | More

^^With youbemom there is still a “main” board that everyone posts to (posters don’t always categorize). Maybe DC urban is the same? YBM moves fast and you don’t get the detailed responses you see on UB. [ Reply | More

A couple of important things. I just read the FAQ on DCUM and it’s anonymous as long as you don’t login. If you do login and want to post anonymously, you have to wait 10 min to be sure that you are, in fact, anonymous. I could see myself screwing those up and dying of embarrassment.
