aww. end of an era! i am in my early 30s and came here first as a college student through gawker and then continued reading when i worked at a TT UWS private in my early 20s! I can't tell you how much you guys have alternately entertained, offended, and helped me over the last 15 years. I don't have older sisters or a traditional mom / aunties to nag me in the right direction and you guys got me out of my early 20s rut where i was with a much older, alcoholic creative dude. hearing the rants from moms who did end up marrying a version of him were honestly so eye opening; as was hearing the encouragement to be kind of take advantage of my youth, education, and credentials unapologetically to find a partner who i was worthy of. it might seem regressive but i really, really needed to hear it and it changed the course of my life. i got a MBA and married someone who is my equal in every way. i'm pregnant with my first now and i'm sad that i won't actually get to partake in this board as a 'mommy'!
