I'm a web developer - I'm grabbing a full copy of the site to save all of the old posts. I'm going to try to clean it up and make it searchable and post it eventually at ubarchive.net. Yesterday I would have said hell yeah but now that some time has passed I think my attitude to the demise of UB has moved through the denial and anger stages to acceptance. UB was like a beautiful flower that bloomed and then faded. And that’s OK. not everything lasts forever. Everyone will move on and find another mom group. It might not be just like UB and that’s OK too. It was great while it lasted. It set a high bar. It will never be replicated. Because when something terrible befalls someone you want to believe it won't happen to you. People reacted to the randomness of it and assigned all sorts of blame to the Krims so that they could rest easily knowing it would not happen to them. It was awful.
