Poll: When did you discover UB and under what circumstances? I’ll start: kindergarten admissions in 2006. I did a google search looking for tips on private school admissions and this site came up in the search. I felt like I’d struck gold. Been here ever since. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I don't remember the specific circumstances but it was sometime when my oldest was in daycare still (so early 2010s). BabyCenter had been marginally helpful during pregnancy, but the baby forums there were filled with really young flyover moms that I had literally nothing in common with. And my local neighborhood parents' group (HRP Mamas) was still okay back then, but wasn't anonymous. I lurked here for a while, but really found it useful when we were going through G&T testing, K admissions, etc. Now DC is in middle school. [ Reply | More

Back in the early days (1999-2003 or so), UB had a marketplace, where you could buy and sell baby stuff, or exchange things like baby clothes. It was great. That's how I got started. [ Reply | More
