Does anyone know why CBS bought UB in the first place? Seems like they never even tried to monetize the site. If they had some basic strategy this could have generated some revenue. Wonder why bother shutting it now? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

It was first bought by CNET (who knows why - maybe they planned to make an ad network?) and CNET was acquired by CBS Interactive. [ Reply | More ]

Pandemic, everything that is not generating $$ goes. Makes sense, these publishers are all ad - centric for revenue and that had dried up big time. [ Reply | More ]
