Is anyone familiar with or a graduate of the Schreyer Honors College at Penn State University? We’ve split NYC due to Covid and now permanently in Pennsylvania. We know nothing about it yet it’s hard to ignore the cost & reviews. It seems like a separate college within PSU. DS is a rising Senior (now) in public with high GPA and SAT scores. Anyone with experience to share? TIA. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Don't know personally, but someone who knows DS well recommended it as a possibility when DS was looking last year. Smaller separate unit within Penn State, seems like it could be well worth a look. [ Reply | More ]

Not a graduate but I work for a well known consulting firm and I know we recruit there. The alums I’ve met have been great - all very smart (although I think all were at the very top of the class). I think it’s a pretty big school though. [ Reply | More ]

I bet it is great. I have spoken to people with kids going to the honors college and scholars program at UMD College Park. really smart kids from mostly public high schools. [ Reply | More ]

in general, the honors college of any state flagship is going to have a lot of super smart kids, and not a lot of super rich kids. [ Reply | More ]
