For an unconnected, non-urm family, what makes more sense - NYC tt private or top rated NJ suburban public? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Either sounds fine, but you may not get into a tt private in NYC. [ Reply | More ]

So then whatever you think makes sense for your family. How can anyone answer this not knowing your kids, the type of learners they are? [ Reply | More ]

Well, what do you like and dislike about it? The OP and then this OR are absurd -- why would you not give the necessary information for people to respond? [ Reply | More ]

Pros and cons of each. If your main metric is which offers the best opportunity for college placement I would guess the latter. [ Reply | More ]

a TT private. Hands down. Ask anyone in college. The kids from Scarsdale etc will tell you that the kids at their college from private school were much better prepared for college. [ Reply | More ]

URM stands for Under-Represented Minority. In other words, OP wants to know which schools are better for her white DC. This post feels kind of racist. Is there any reason I should NOT be upset at this post? [ Reply | More ]

Eh, either way, her kids are going to school with majority wealthy white people. The decision is btwn rich white ppl in the burbs or rich white ppl in the city. That's why no one can answer it because OP hasn't explained what she wants or doesn't want. [ Reply | More ]

It’s phrased this way a lot on UB but she could’ve written unconnected white family to describe herself so not sure why she chose a vague roundabout way [ Reply | More ]
