We are planning a major renovation/addition to our country house next year and one of the rooms that will be redone is currently falling apart--literally, the plaster is cracking and falling off the walls. This will be a very expensive repair only to be torn out in 6-12 months. I'm thinking of simply covering things with a peel and stick wallpaper. Has anyone used any and did it work? Obviously longevity is not a huge issue but I need something that can handle moisture from daily showers. Also, I'm looking for a brand that has more traditional designs if anyone has any recommendations. Thanks! [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I don’t think the peel and stick will be heavy enough to cover. I covered a bad wall with some heavy wall covering that had a texture and was paintable designed for such surfaces. They do them in a lot of different motifs. Kind of like This: https://www.familyhandyman.com/diy-advice/cover-cracks-with-wall-liner/ [ Reply | More ]

If you are renovating why not take advantage and do that room the right way, it seems wasteful not to and it will come back to haunt you [ Reply | More ]

We are renovating next year and the room will be gutted. I need something right now that will hopefully get us through the summer and maybe fall if school doesn't start in September. [ Reply | More ]
