Spent like 10 minutes at the grocery store looking for green onions for a recipe. Finally decided to "settle" for scallions. Did everyone else know they are the same thing? :( [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

unrelated to scallions, but your preschooler can also regrow potatoes from the eyes of a potato. You can regrow carrots from their leafy steam (leave a little of the root top)plus some part of the greens. you can grow an avocado plant. There are many others.. [ Reply | More ]

Does the mint need to have roots attached? I would love a mint plant, even though I hear it grows like a weed. [ Reply | More ]

Yes, but I wasn't born knowing it. I had to learn, just like you. Cilantro and coriander are the same thing, too. I accidentally added so much ground coriander to a recipe because I didn't know the difference. [ Reply | More ]
