Does anyone have experience with the pandemic unemployment assistance in NYC? Applies to part-time, self-employed, those without recent work history. Sounds like off-the-books sitters should qualify? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

if they paid taxes, it applies to them. You have to have paid taxes on the income. The change is that it applies to 1099 workers which it didn't used to. Used to only apply to W2 workers [ Reply | More

My DH worked out of state and he still got it, maybe because me and the kids are here and because we pay taxes, I'm not sure. [ Reply | More

You get unemployment based on where you live or where you earned the wages. self employed and worked all over? Collect against your state of residence. [ Reply | More
