Are any charities accepting donations of furniture at this time? Doesn't even have to be pick up, can bring it. In NYC area, Long Island, etc . Urgent need, and it's not junk. TIA! [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I've not had much success trying to donate furniture. If it has any scratches--really any wear/tear--they will likely reject it. [ Reply | More ]

^And of course if it's particle board, they don't want that either. Solid wood only. [ Reply | More ]

My issue is not the quality of the furniture, it's COVID and the fact that most charity thrift shops aren't open, so they aren't accepting furniture at the moment. [ Reply | More ]

Not sure if it's operating normally because of COVID, but I had luck in the past with Freecycle (though you won't get a receipt for charity write off if that's what you're looking for) [ Reply | More ]
