For all of you on the fence about moving to the suburbs, our highly regarded suburban district just laid off 30 teachers in one school. The are eliminating all non-essential subject areas such as k-5 world language. School will not look anywhere the same even after a vaccine. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

All communities are suffering budget cuts, at the state and local level, stemming from COVID and even prior to this in many cases. I think other factors are going to have to be used to measure trade-offs. [ Reply | More ]

Ours are getting raises bc it was written into their contracts, which are being reviewed next year. They get multi year contracts that guarantee raises under any circumstance, plus free tuition for their kids! [ Reply | More ]
