Returning to city today for med appointments for DC and me. Will be there through weekend. What do I need to know/do? We have been sheltering in place for nearly 3 months with only me going to grocery store every 2 weeks. Masks, yes? Anything else? How is the OSP parking? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

It's fine here. What else do you need to know? Most people are wearing masks even when outdoors and socially distanced. No idea about parking- alternate side suspended - that's all the information I can give you. [ Reply | More ]

Do people wear masks whenever they leave apartments? Do people wear gloves? What are elevator protocols in building? Have people done anything for their building staff? Questions along those parameters. Finally, I sense a certain pique in your response and wonder why bother to respond if you find these questions irritating. [ Reply | More ]

Masks are required in common areas of buildings so yes, people wear them upon leaving their apartment. Gloves really haven't proven to be effective so most people just hit the elevator buttons with their keys or elbows. Each building has their own guidelines about how many people can use the elevator at once.I personally let it pass by if it stops and the occupant is elderly. My building only allows three people in at a time; others may be different. I wasn't irritated by your question - just had no idea what else you were looking to find out. My last line was meant to be about parking - I don't have a car- so that's all the info I have about parking on the streets. [ Reply | More ]

NP: If you live in a large elevator building, I'm assuming your building management, coop or condo board has communicated what your particular building's protocol is? From what I've seen, it varies building by building. [ Reply | More ]

We live in a rental building and left right before the lockdown. The building only communicates any issue by posting signs in and next to elevators. Yes, gathering it varies by building. [ Reply | More ]

Unless you are a jerk and don't care about putting others at risk, yes, you wear a mask. Your apt. building will have a protocol, and you should have heard from them by now, if you have not then ask them, what applies in my building has nothing to do with your building. Parking varies by area, UWS has mostly been fine throughout. [ Reply | More ]

np -- it's really nice to do something for staff - I feel so bad for them, they have had it really rough. [ Reply | More ]

So, you didn't ask the exact questions for which you you wanted answers, and then you interpereted irritation where there was none, and then you insulted the answerer. It must be exhausting to be a person who has to deal with you on a daily basis. [ Reply | More ]

perhaps i could have been more specific, but i think asking about masks and anything else is fairly comprehensive and some people answered with those parameters. guessing not so exhausting as former team mates tell me I was there best boss or ask if i will continue in a mentorship role with them. The way this was announced has become something of a joke/meme, as BdB/the city juxtaposed this little nugget alongside the conversation of police reform. [ Reply | More ]
