We’re renting a beach house for the rest of the summer. I’m sure many items are already stocked. Any tips on what I should bring? Maybe order FreshDirect in advance? What am I going to blank on? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Spices to cook with. Check what type pots pans knives if you plan to cook. Have rented a few places where they ‘ have everthing’, But if it so bad and should have been thrown out 10 years earlier! [ Reply | More ]

Last summer, I brought a few personal linens, outdoor table clothes, quilts, etc. Felt very homey. Yes, spices, oils, condiments, etc. though we were lucky that the owners had them. Toilet tissue and paper towels (never enough). I like to go to a local supermarket and the boutique shops, makes you feel like a local. [ Reply | More ]

Everyone bring their one favorite pillow. Your chef knife and favorite cutting board, sheets for everyone (I often can’t stand rental home sheets...people often buy the cheapest For their rentals), way less clothes than you think you need, bikes. [ Reply | More ]
