Where in NYC (preferably UES) can i get an antibody test that is just a finger prick? I want to get tested but hate getting blood drawn from my arm. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

the finger prick hurts more than the arm blood draw though. you can really feel the finger prick whereas with the blood draw, if you look away you don't feel a thing [ Reply | More ]

I know but I always get psyched out and faint, and that is more traumatic than the pain of the finger prick. I just want a finger prick test but don't know where to go get one. [ Reply | More ]

I have had both and the finger prick is WAY better. [ Reply | More ]

Reputable labs do not do finger stick testing for this, or any test really (a la the Theranos debacle several years ago). You need to have a blood draw. Sorry. [ Reply | More ]

MD mom - you cannot adjust science to cater to your fears. If you want an antibody test, get the test. If not, then don't. sorry of I sound cold, but I just spent three months putting my entire family at risk working in an ER and trust me, that was more scary than a blood draw. [ Reply | More ]

MD mom what do you make of the new claim that only 10 percent of COVID sufferers test positive for antibodies? [ Reply | More ]

??? Well, not everyone wanted or is capable of becoming an MD. It’s not a competition in suffering. [ Reply | More ]

MD mom, ILY. I'm borrowing "you cannot adjust science to cater to your fears". This is great! [ Reply | More ]

Just do a test with a blood draw. it's more accurate. And I agree with MD mom. [ Reply | More ]

The finger prick is not accurate. Either get the right test, or don't test at all. [ Reply | More ]

the finger prick is not accurate, very unreliable. the blood draw (roche or abbott) are the only 99% accurate ones. (i tested positive for antibodies on the finger prick and negative on the blood draw) [ Reply | More ]
