Google will not have employees fully back in office till 2022 apparently for safety reasons and 'inside knowledge'. While not passing judgement on that, I will say that this information profoundly depressed me. goodbye entire old life. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

do you mean that you have inside knowledge about them making a decision based on safety? I don't expect to be back in the office until at least next summer, and by then I'll be used to this life. [ Reply | More

Honestly, even with reopening I don't think any of us were ever expecting to be "fully back in office" for a while - there's going to be distancing orders in place, staggered schedules, limited meeting spaces, etc. Did they put out a statement using the words "inside knowledge" or something? why take it as good bye old life? companies like google are set up for remote working...i dont think it means anything for the rest of us who work at more traditional companies. i know lots of people (lawyers, other professionals going back to the office in the next 2 weeks). [ Reply | More
