Has anyone heard anything from their K-12 public school districts about reopening plans, contingencies, remote learning, etc? We are in Westchester, and the school budgets are about to be voted on, so that is the biggest determinant for any planning right now, along with direction from the governor and possible federal funding. The school board, super, and admin have all said that plans can't be made without knowing whether the budget passes, which assumes a huge reduction in gov funding. Friends elsewhere have already been told some programs will be cut, including extracurriculars in the fall and winter, because there will be a focus on social distancing. Some know that online instruction will also be maintained plus a 1:1 device program for cases when a student or household member becomes ill or the school needs to close or just to cut costs. Curious whether your school district has mentioned anything about plans for next year. Thanks. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]
