Will business owners be subject to any oversight for how they used their grant money they received during the pandemic? I know of more than 1 person who got $$ and did not need it, because they did not lose business during the pandemic. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

PPP is a loan, not a grant. To have the loan forgiven, there's paperwork that requires you to provide records of what you spent on payroll, rent, etc. [ Reply | More

What about people who got it and didn’t need it - they will show they spent it on things they already could pay for because they lost no business, eg rent and payroll - these are the people I know. They got the money and it is business as usual and have a pile of extra money [ Reply | More
