My cousin. When Barre was all the rage, she would go. When Game of Thrones was new, she had to be the know it all. When Kobe Bryant died everything was #girldad. She claims that she would never want to have a son and her DH apparently feels the same. Now it is these porch pictures during COVID. Of course everything is posted online. My SIL is every single trend connected to the era without effort. It's such a unique thing. This is not to snub her - she's salt of the earth / I love her. I have a cousin who bought a house on Long Island. It is a decent area but nothing special basically she bought a ranch for almost $300,000. I was very happy for her. At that time she bragged nonstop about the area saying how it was an amazing area and had one of the best school districts on Long Island (not at all-she was very close to Wyandanch). I kept my mouth shop and let her have her moment. The moment her job relocated to Colorado she moved and now New York is a horrible place and she’s so glad that she moved from Long Island and now all of a sudden her area in Denver is the best spot in the world. Or- There are so many instances I didn’t tell about. She is just the type where she is an absolute know it all. There is nothing she could possibly learn from me. She is obnoxious. I have a medical condition and she tried to educate me on my condition. She asked me what DH’s salary is in the past (he works in medicine). My old boss. Banker. Literally everything he owned was the 'coveted' version of that category. Back about 20 years ago there was a trend to get a giant breed dog in a tiny apartment.
