Does anyone else think the virtually staged photos in listings often look worse than the real ones? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I know that they’re meant to give you ideas but then you come to see the home and realize that they were really just reaching to get someone to personally view the home. [ Reply | More ]

That too. I have learned never to go to a viewing where they don't show the kitchens and baths. I used to be optimistic that it just meant a less than perfect kitchen/baths, but I'm realizing now it means gut jobs. Or, in at least one apartment I saw, no kitchen at all. The space existed, but there were no counters, no appliances, nothing. [ Reply | More ]

I absolutely agree about the bathroom and kitchen. No pics is a disaster gut job! [ Reply | More ]

I think it's fine when the listing is empty, it gives you a sense of size. I think it's funny / weird when they show the current decor and then wipe it out and show a different kitchen or different furniture. They show you both versions, as if to say, look at this person's horrible taste, wouldn't it be so much better with this all white furniture. [ Reply | More ]
