We have been in an area (northern New England) where there are relatively few COVID cases since early March. We have had very little exposure besides one adult going to the grocery store with mask once every 10 days. My son (2) had a 101.6 fever two nights ago and was better the next day. My daughter (11) has a sore throat, upset stomach and very low fever tonight. What gives? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I see this here all the time but it isn't true. Allergies can cause a low grade fever [ Reply | More ]

Not 101.6. That's an infection but not necessarily Covid. [ Reply | More ]

all the other diseases that exist alongside covid probably. we live in NYC, center of pandemic, school, office rife with covid. teachers, coworkers hospitalized and dead. all of us had a horrible illness for weeks and weeks. guess what - not covid. [ Reply | More ]

I think that OP's question is why are they getting sick if they haven't been in contact with any other human being for basically several months. [ Reply | More ]

I posted here a few weeks ago that my son had a similar fever. He had only been to our yard for months. Dh and I had only been to stores. I took him for a covid test and a flu text. Both were negative and he was fine in a day. I have no idea what he had but his allergies were awful at that time. [ Reply | More ]

Must be bacteria (perhaps food borne), allergies, or psychosomatic. [ Reply | More ]

They're just sick with something. I was sick in February and again in March and convinced I'd had Covid but I've tested negative for antibodies. There are always viruses running around. Hope they feel better soon! [ Reply | More ]
