I put in 1k for FSA dependent care but was laid off in May. Can I use it towards DC’s camp in August or is the money gone ? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

What ever the amount subtracted from your paycheck to date you can use that for that calendar year. If you chose 1000 for 1 year they might have taken out only 500 for last 6 months. So you can get only 500 back. It was your pre tax money deducted from your earned money so you can use it for this tax year irrespective of your job status. [ Reply | More
