I work in a small office. It's "opening up" before NYC even allows for this, legally. It is not an essential business. I don't have to go in every day, by far, but when I do . . . nobody else is wearing masks. I am PO'd beyond belief. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Aren't companies required to? I didn't think it was an option. The city will provide companies the masks for their employees. [ Reply | More ]

The office isn't even supposed to be open. Seems like requirements are out the window! [ Reply | More ]

If you wanted to report the unsafe conditions and the fact you are being made to go in, you could call the county health commission. [ Reply | More ]

Cuomo has been very clear that you should anonymously report this. This is against the law right now. [ Reply | More ]

Are you going into an office where it's impossible to socially distance? If not, then don't tell me to grow up. [ Reply | More ]

The state is opening up completely and most companies will be back to in-person soon. One or two weeks won’t make a difference. I’d be careful about reporting the company especially if it’s small. [ Reply | More ]

Oh, I'm not going to report it, I don't need to lose my job. I would just like to know that the building itself has done everything THEY need to do legally and that the company is doing everything THEY need to do legally. Right now, they are most assuredly not. [ Reply | More ]

Can you call the building manager to find out what they’ve done? [ Reply | More ]

I believe that buildings will have to do something to HVAC systems? I believe that businesses, and I am sure buildings, too, have to have a written plan for what they have done and what they will do in case of an outbreak in the building. But since none of the businesses in this building are essential, perhaps they haven't had to do those things *mandated* by the state yet? [ Reply | More ]

Thank you. I also have a friend in another office in the same situation. And she is in an "at risk" population because she's diabetic. [ Reply | More ]
