Why are you all so freaked out by ebola but not the Flu. In the bad years of flu epidemics up to 40% of the world's population got it and 50 million died. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

That's not in "bad years" - that was one strain, in one year, almost 100 years ago. [ Reply | More ]

You mean, like, comparable to this ebola outbreak - the one big outbreak we've had since we've known about the virus...? I'd worry more about the regular ole' 30,000 a year deaths from the flu WAY more then ebola. But its just not news. [ Reply | More ]

I don't worry about either. People die. Viruses and bacteria evolve. The world goes on. [ Reply | More ]

OP me neither, but I don't get the fear of Ebola. More people probably died of many other things in the past year. [ Reply | More ]

Three sources of fear of ebola: (1) UB troll(s) who can't let it go; (2) news organizations without any other story, save ISIS; (3) people who have no sense. [ Reply | More ]

There are different kinds of flu viruses - and everyone should be worried that a bad one will show up again. The vast majority of flu strains, however, don't kill you in 10 days if you are otherwise in decent health. [ Reply | More ]
