I'm going to get fired tomorrow, right before my vacation starts. My boss has becoming super demanding of my time, without giving me a raise because the company is not doing well. Finally, I had to put my foot down, after being a doormat for 2 1/2 year. So now he wants to replace me with someone who is willing to accept less & work more. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I hate crap like this b/c then it means that bad employees get jobs at new places b/c everyone is so afraid to give a bad reference. I don't know OP, but who knows if she deserves a positive recommendation? Just a rant in general and not necessarily on these specific facts. [ Reply | More

np: get as much unemployment as you can from them, and I wouldn't worry too much about the rec's. All you have to say is the company was struggling and they replaced you with someone who would work 2x as much for 1/2 the pay. [ Reply | More
