look at meetup.com to see if they have a group in your area or check mom's club international. we are in a mom's group and do playdates, etc. i dont think classes are the way to go to meet peopl.e [ Reply | More

she can do that at playdates as well. i am just saying that you probably won't make a bunch of friends with classes. you go there, do the class and then go. i didn't start becoming really friendly with the moms until we took the second round of classes [ Reply | More

check with your pediatrician--mine had flyers/a list of moms groups in the area. we sat around, had coffee. it was a good way to meet people whithout having to shake a maraca. [ Reply | More

Don't listen to them. Definitely look into a music class, too. I did both with my DB since she was 3 months old. I met a ton of Moms that way. I also did some stuff at my local library. Classes are only 45 minutes and I love that it gives me something to do in the day with DB. At the beginning it was definitely for me to meet people, but now that DB is a year she loves them too. You can do a Gymboree music class and a Gymboree activity class. I think they even discount if you sign up for 2 classes at a time. I've also heard great things about Broadway Babies and Music Together. [ Reply | More
