do any of your dh's have a time consuming hobby/interest that takes him away from your family? every summer, my husband elects to be away for about 12 days total (three times, a few days a time). tonight i started talking to him about planning a family vaca somewhere and he bit my head off, that he needs his weekends to relax and that he couldn't take time off work. WTF. 12 days for him, no days for the rest of us. am thinking of planning something without him. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

ITA. he's part of a family now. My Dh is a serious runner, and takes time for training, and will go away for 3 days for a race out west, but we negotiate all that stuff so it doesn't take away from family. [ Reply | More

my dh is a pothead. He thinks about getting high all day, throughout the day. I am a "single" parent. I've accepted the fact that I am raising our 2 kids by myself. Hope for the best, but accept the worst. I keep this in mind as I raise our babies. [ Reply | More

my BF is going through this too. i love her DH like a brother, but his personlaity has changed. I am sorry for your "loss" because it is like a loss and I hope things change.
