Hillary is out as of Friday. she had to be told to get it done. Obama has indicated he is not interested in her as a running mate. Whew! [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I am very frustrated by the H supporters who are acting as if she was "robbed" or somehow "shoved out" of the race. People voted; she received fewer votes; end of story. It's unfortunate for people who supported her but being sore losers will not help. [ Reply | More ]

except that she was shoved out, she is a better candidate. And I think its the Obama campaign and supporters who lack class. They've been nothing but insulting and condescending, and it isn't going to help them. [ Reply | More ]

I understand feeling disapointed that your candidate did not win. I evem understand feeling a little angry about what was said - even if you do know how politics work. What I am trying to understand is why some people think she was forced out somehow. People voted and she lost. Period. That's the breaks [ Reply | More ]

you are wrong. They reporting has been against her every single time. Her case has never been fairly presented. If you tell me you can't see it, there's nothing I can do. I can give you a line to over 100 examples, and you still wouldn't get it. But I'm not the only one who can see this. [ Reply | More ]

it is up to the candidate to present her case. SHe had plenty of opportunity to do so - debates, TV ads etc. She could have bought pages in newspapers to say what she wanted. I will say I did not see many instances of bias against her, but I will let that stand unchallenged. I still think it is up to the candidate herself to get her message out. If she can't do that maybe she isn't the best person for the job as chief executive [ Reply | More ]

I don't like the way he has won this. It's been about personality and making her out to be evil, and I think it is wrong. It hasn't been about issues. He's really not the better candidate, her positions on all the issues I care about are just better. I don't trust him, he slips and slides around the issues, doesn't take a stand. I have never voted republican and never will. But I don't know if I can vote for him, and every insult against her, and myself as her supporter, makes me think I'm right in sitting this one out. OR (very first response) - This is what is confusing to me. The only thing that I find irrational is the concept that Hillary was somehow cheated. She received fewer votes. I don't think anyone who voted for her is a bitch or irrational. But I do think you're delusional if you think she didn't lose the race. She just lost - someone had to. [ Reply | More ]

His foreign policy skills scare me a little because he seems to be very focus on military operations, but doesn't seem to be able to talk strategy...i.e. what sort of relationship should we have with various countries. I think he is a bit small minded on this...but I don't think he is George Bush and I think he will have better advisers. Obama's foreign policies scare me more. He mentioned today on the BBC that he thinks the Palestinians ought to have their own state. Now, since they will only have this if it is Israel, how is that going to happen. That reveals real inexperience and lack of command on the issues....at least McCain "gets: it. [ Reply | More ]

I dont think so. I listen to NPR and Rush Limbaugh to try to get all sides. I'm a libertarian so don't really have a stake in the whole thing. What I see is someone who thought she had this in the bag and relied on her DH's charms. He faltered and she didn't make her case well enough. Add to that Obama's charisma and his newness and I think this was bound to happen. I don't think it's been handled that badly by either side [ Reply | More ]

You don't get it, because you don't want to. This is how he is going to lose. His campaign said yesterday that they didn't need or want the Clinton supporters. That is just brilliant. We know you hate her and think she is evil, and you've been nothing but snotty. If not you personally, then most of the people you hang with. That is coming through loud and clear. [ Reply | More ]

ok now you just sound defensive for no reason. I am a libertarian and not likely to vote for either one (Bob Barr anyone?) I do follow politics pretty closely though and don't get this aspect. Sounds like you just want to see life as unfair and yourself as a wronged minority. Not a fun way to go through life IMHO but it's a free country. I really would like to know what you think though if you want to give it another shot [ Reply | More ]

ok. First - that is politics. Go back and read some of the things other candidates said. Edwards said some crappy things about both of them and they about him. That is politics. Secondly - I still don't see how that shoved her out of anything. It was the game. She knew what she was getting into better than most people. I think she understands that it's not personal. You can't take the rhetoric this personally or you will drive yourself nuts. Now it will be all Obama calling McCain awful things and vice versa. It's politics, not a tea party [ Reply | More ]

I don't quite see this frankly. I am a woman, democrat, initially supported HRC and then moved on to Obama. I think the way she ran the campaign was unfortunately disappointing: hiring staff that was not expert at knowing all the electoral rules state by state, not having the grass roots efforts in place in a number of states, poor budget management, having Bill on the side being a loose canon, etc... made me question how she would manage the country (she didn't do a great job years ago at handling the healthcare issue, was hoping she would learn from that but not clear how much she did). If anything, she was the one who was quite condescending in the early days - she was going to get the nomination, it was a given, it was "her turn". Yes, I do have concerns about Obama's level of experience but found him to be a more promising candidate. Now we'll need to see if he can deliver. [ Reply | More ]
