15mo has been walking since 10 or 11mos, but thing is, he won't walk alone. holds on to exactly 1 finger of ours, or furniture or pushes his babydoll stroller or walkers. has walked alone a bunch of times, but won't do it consistently or of his own volition. also, only says "mama" " [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

^^^^OP- and "dada". should I be worried? should he be evaluated? he walks incredibly well- very solid on his feet, so it's clearly psychological at this point, right? [ Reply | More ]

Your ds started walking very early and some kids aren't even walking at 15mo so I'd give it a bit longer before getting too worried. Maybe just keep encouraging him to walk alone. Also I don't think my son said more than dada at 15mo and he is now a total motormouth. [ Reply | More ]

thanks. I'd almost be less worried if he wasn't walking at all- the failure to let go for all these months has me worried. [ Reply | More ]
