No, youre not. My dr checked it once about a month after insertion, once it settles, it doesnt need to be checked after that. [ Reply | More

I had one put in back in November and never felt the string. Finally got around to heading back to doctor to check it out and she couldn't feel string either - but when they did an ultrasound(same day) - there it was in the perfect spot. Best idea is to go back to doctor to confirm its all okay. [ Reply | More
