I have friends who do. It is a lifestyle choice for them. I went to Catholic School and would never send my kids. The thinking is very black and white. I don't feel they take an interest in really cultivating a child's strength, rather every child must fir the same mold [ Reply | More

Most of my family does. My brother and I were the only ones (out of 15 grandchildren) who didn't go to Catholic school and most of our cousins are sending their DCs to Catholic schools. For some of them, the Catholic schools are the best options they have - rural communities where the public schools suck. For others, it's the lifestyle choice they have made. [ Reply | More

DS was in PreK at a Catholic this past year, and we do plan on staying at the school long-term. I think you REALLY need to evaluate individual schools. [ Reply | More

Totally depends, you need to look at the curriculum. I am Catholic and went to Catholic schools, but in our area there are better private schools that are not Catholic. Would not do public in DC area. [ Reply | More
