Once and for all, and even though it's a moot point now, is it true that if you did not rank ALL available programs on your G&T letter, that your application would be bounced? My understanding was that this was true ONLY if you wanted to be GUARANTEED a district G&T seat. If you were willing to take a chance of not getting any G&T seat, then you were free to rank only a few of your options and would not be bounced for not ranking all available options. No, this is not true. Not ranking all choices only means that your kid is not guaranteed to get a spot because all your choices are already full by the time it was your kid's turn to be placed. I personally did rank everything, though, because I am curious what a 98 would get us. If we don't like it we go with our backup gen ed. [ Reply | More

You only needed to rank all to guarantee a placement. You could rank as few as you wanted if you were satisfied with your zoned school as backup [ Reply | More
