I might even wait longer... Depends on your ds. He needs time to let it sink in and prepare, but 20 more wks of pg can be a long time for a 4 yo to wait, esp if he's excited. [ Reply | More

OP: It's getting pretty obvious that I'm showing and EVERYONE else knows and talks about it, so I think I need to tell him next week before he figures it out himself. He really WANTS a baby and he asked for one this morning. He gets the waiting thing too as his best friend's mom just had a baby and all spring he kept saying "yes, C's mom is having a baby, but it's not here yet". [ Reply | More

it's fine. my sister did that. i told DD early on (she is not yet 2) because i figured she really wouldn't get it anyway. now she says that she has a babby in her belly, daddy has a baby in his belly, her monkey has a baby in his belly. [ Reply | More
