Our sex life was non existent for months and this weekend we had great sex twice and last night we were all over each other. I am so happy about it. i thought for sure we were going to have a sexless marriage forever. I have been in therapy and started anti depressants. Maybe these are helping. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

sometimes it's a double edged sword -- depression makes the libido go away and sometimes the antidepressants do, too. glad they're working. which one are you taking? [ Reply | More ]

effexor. I've had the no sex drive problem in the past with zoloft and others so I'm surprised about it myself. I started effexor for what I thought might be ppd. [ Reply | More ]

i take effexor and it worked for a while but numbed me out too much and eventually killed my libido so i added some wellbutrin. it's helping but not 100 percent. [ Reply | More ]

do you mean the wellbutrin is helping with your sex drive or with your depression (or both)? Side question - if I get pregnant again (dd is 1 now and I am not a spring chicken), I'll have to go off the meds, yes? [ Reply | More ]

wellbutrin helped my sex drive and depression, the effexor is more for anxiety. anyhow, i know you can't take effexor during pregnancy and i don't think you can take wellbutrin, either. being numbed out is just not being able to cry when you should be able to... [ Reply | More ]

Not to burst the bubble but sometimes more means he is also getting it elsewhere. Sounds like its the depression that was holding you back in your case tho. [ Reply | More ]
