My 14mo ds with 12 teeth (4 molars, 8 front and sides) used to love brushing his teeth. Every time he's gotten annoyed by it, we've found a new way to keep him interested--baby-safe toothpaste, brushing along with mommy/daddy, etc. The last 2 days, he's absolutely refused. I think his canine/eye teeth are coming in...could that be why? I don't want to force him and make him not like it anymore. What can I do to encourage him to brush again? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

It sounds like you're right. Dd wouldn't let us brush her teeth when she was about to cut new teeth. I would usually leave her mouth alone for maybe two or so days and then try again. I'm not sure about when the canine teeth come in tho... [ Reply | More ]
