what is the deal with bf'ing and drinking? If I have a few drinks and my baby sleeps several hours do I need to pump and dump or does my body still burn it off without going into my breast milk? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

There is no need to pump and dump if you wait 3 hours between drinking and feeding. If your baby needs to eat before the 3 hours is up you will need to bottle feed, so it is wise to pump and store before drinking. [ Reply | More ]

not necessarily. depends on how much you drink, of course, but most LC's say if you're OK ro drive your OK to bf, which is a rough guide. i've certainyl bf'd shortly after, or during, having one glass of wine. [ Reply | More ]
