We're going to Disneyworld soon and I just saw on a website that many parents put potty trained children, even 4-5 year olds in diapers for the trip because lines are long etc. Is this a real issue and how to explain this to a child who recently trained (2.5 year old) and feels so great about his accomplishment? no, it's not a real issue. It's strange. Just go to the bathroom often, before you get in lines. [ Reply | More ]

That was my plan, but I saw a ton of posts about this on a message board for tips for people going with young children. Is it fair to assume that there are bathrooms everywhere and no lines for those? Thanks. [ Reply | More ]

I don't know about Disneyworld, but if it is at all like Disneyland there are plenty of bathrooms. Just like anywhere you would go with a toddler, you would take them to the bathroom before it becomes an emergency and have them give it a try before you stand in line. If you are going with two adults, one could always run to the bathroom while the other stays in line. You can rejoin them at the end of the line by going through the handicapped part. We've been going all the time since kids were tiny and NEVER done that. Bathrooms are all over, make kids go before you get on a long line and worst case you have to excuse yourself from line but if you plan shouldn't be an issue. When newly trained- i did put pullups on for airplane though because sometimes you know you can't get up [ Reply | More ]

It's ridiculous about 4-5yos, but a recently trained 2.5yo might have an accident at Disneyworld. There are bathrooms everywhere, but it can take a few minutes to find one. I don't think it's a big deal about an accident, just bring a change of clothes. [ Reply | More ]
