At the risk of getting flamed, can anyone recommend summer wardrobe staples for a size 16? I can't seem to find anything that fits aside from t-shirts. I would love some summery dresses (not sleeveless, though) or skirts. TIA! [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Yeah, no luck on stuff for my bottom half. I'm in my 40s,fwiw, and some of their stuff is too trendy for me. Love the basic Mossimo tops, though. [ Reply | More ]

if you want something more "mature" - ann taylor or even lane bryant (you will wear the smallest size there!) [ Reply | More ]

I'll try Ann Taylor. It's not that I want matronly, just that I look silly now in stuff I would've worn 20, or even 10, years ago. Of course, the 40 pounds I've put on since then aren't helping. [ Reply | More ]

I totally know what you mean. I'm 29 and a lot of the stuff at old navy feels too trendy for me too. [ Reply | More ]

op: Thanks. I actually love this idea. I feel like I've completely lost myself in terms of fashion. I used to get lots of compliments on my style, but now I look like a dumpy, nondescript mom. Is there a minimum you have to spend with them? [ Reply | More ]

you may also want to look in barnes and noble or borders for those dress for style books-don't need a ton of pieces, just be smart about it. [ Reply | More ]
