I am so upset. I have not been happy with my ped, feel she is very quick with prescription as a way to get you out of office. dd had a respiratory infection and over the weekend she started taking deep breaths like she was struggling to breathe. i took her in and the ped prescribed a decongestant, i was suspicious but agreed to try it for a few days. When I got to pharmacy it turns out she wrote the wrong drug and prescribed a sleep aid, when the pharmacist called we realized that the two drugs don't even sound alike or spelled alike. You are really lucky the pharmacist was on the ball. I would write a letter to the state medical board, copying her with a request for your child's files. (I was almost killed by a drug error in the hospital.) [ Reply | More

I'm so lucky it wasn't even the pharmacist it was the person taking the information...I got the feeling he was studying to be a pharmacist. I always check the information so I guess I would catch it but I basically didn't even fill the prescription and I'm calling in the morning to see a different doctor [ Reply | More
