I have a 14mo, but can tell you from experience that they don't. They sleep and eat a lot...if you're bf'ing, they eat about every 2 hours (from start to start) and sleep about the same. [ Reply | More

they start to a little more around 6 weeks, but not really that much til 3 months or so. I like Weissbluth's book btw and it will tell you common patterns for different ages. [ Reply | More

mine ate all the time and slept when she wasnt' eating. that's about all the pattern that was evident for the first 6 wks. hang in there. it gets easier. [ Reply | More
