Curious about other toddlers - does your DC say "it's mine" every time you buy something new? My 2.5 yo DD says this, for instance, when she saw our new bedroom quilt. She's going to have a little brother or sister in a few months and wondering if there's anything I can start to do to make her a little less "me"-focused. Thx. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

This is totally normal. I'd be worried if she didn't say this! [ Reply | More ]

LOL - I morbidly reply, "you are, when our will takes effect" - gotta stop saying that once she realizes what this means! [ Reply | More ]

oh, sure. It's just that I was an only child so I'm nervous about having multiple DCs generally. [ Reply | More ]

Don't you want your daughter to feel her little brother/sister is hers. I think it is a wonderful to have that amazing bond between siblings! [ Reply | More ]
