just posted a few minutes ago: 19 m/o DD throwing up on and off for past 2 hrs or so. Taking a little liquid, but not keeping much down. Does not seem feverish. Whimpering, asking to "lie down." (It's almost bedtime.) Should we just let her try and sleep, or ... ? We are in Jerusalem (for the summer) and don't have ped, etc. (In the past, she has not liked Pedialyte.) OP: just talked to her ped (God bless her). ped said if she wanted to sleep, let her sleep. also said water is unlikely to stay down (this i did not know!) and if she throws up past 6-8 hour (total) window, she needs to be seen (ER, etc.). sent DH out for pedialyte/regular pops (which she loves but threw up earlier). we'll see ... my daughter had this - they have to keep the liquids down. take pedialyte in a dropper and after a 30 hour of keeping it down give more. gradually increase [ Reply | More ]
