DD has these white spots on her face. Took her to the dermatologist in Cornell, who said that this is fungal infection and prescribed an antifungal cream. I have been applying it to her face for past couple of weeks but I don't see big improvement. He took a sample of skin and looked under the microscope, it highly unlikely she was misdiagnosed right? highly likely she was misdiagnosed, but skin conditions can be very difficult to diagnose. Very common. BTW, had same problem with ds . . . 2 years later discovered it was mild food allergy. [ Reply | More ]

Actually to treat these white spots on your skin you need to diagnose the real skin condition. [ Reply | More ]

First of all you need to diagnose your real skin condition due which these white spots occurred on your skin. Depigmentation in skin is most common reason behind the appearance of white spots on skin. To diagnose is it depigmentation, exposed your spot to sun if these burn it mean it is depigmentation problem named as vitiligo. Second common symptoms of vitiligo is the appearance of white spots itself which first small in size and gradually increase in size in irregular shapes.
