suburban moms - when moving into a house, what did you have to buy immediately? garbage cans, hose, grill - what else. moving at the end of the month and trying to compile a list. TIA [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

lol. I wouldn't put a grill at the top of my list. Garbage cans are definitely a must, everything else is the same that you need at any new residence - shower curtains, window blinds (we realized the first night that we needed to cover up the bathroom window). [ Reply | More

grill was at the top of my list! (b/c then dh does the cooking). the sellers may leave garbage cans, recycle bins, hose -- you won't really know till you get there, unless it's expressly covered in contract. oh yeah, buy door mats for people to wipe their feet. [ Reply | More
