My 7 mo is really interested in drinking water - stared when we drink from a glass - trying to give her little sips but she winds up breathing the water rather than drinking. Doesn't seem to like sippy cup but think it's weird to do a bottle at this point - anyone btdt or have recco on a sippy cup? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I'd stick with the bottle until age one then switch to a straw cup or sippy cup. It's a bit early for either sippy or open cup, which are 8 month plus skills. I'd go cold turkey off bottles at age one with whatever you settle on, but know that oral motor specialists really dislike sippy cups and far prefer straw cups. [ Reply | More ]

Thank you! While I have you - what is the general eating schedule for an ebf baby? She's now nursing 2x day, three bottles, and two solid in between (veggies or fruit) - too early for zweibac right? [ Reply | More ]
