Expecting my first and I don't quite get pack and plays. I know some are used as travel cribs, which makes sense to me. Is that their main purpose? Or are they what we used to call play pens? If so, why are they so small? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

i didn't use one with my first dc. i didn't need it. with my second, it was nice to have a place to put the baby. also depends on the size of your apt. [ Reply | More ]

So you'd put the baby in it to play or to sleep? Or both? Thanks. [ Reply | More ]

to play. or at least to be held in one place so i can go to the bathroom. my apt was so small i just put db into the crib. but some people don't like to do that b/c they want cribs only for sleeping. so in summary: it depends on your lifestyle and housing. [ Reply | More ]
