I am wondering if whats harder to get back in the workforce if one quits or get laid off? I want take a break and wonder whether to just quit or wait for a layoff package? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

wait for the layoff. lot's of people are getting laid off now for all kinds of reasons that have little or nothing to do with individual performance. if you quit, well, then you're a quitter. unless you have a compelling reason for quitting. [ Reply | More ]

i think it's harder if you quit. so many layoffs now that there's nothing shameful in it. plus, if you can get a sevarance package, what's the downside? [ Reply | More ]

Ask to be laid off if there is a move of layoffs in your company. You need to be very deft about it, but you can make it clear that you'd be fine with it. [ Reply | More ]
