SAHMs out there....what do you do with your days once all the kids are in school all day? I don't have to get a job and don't particularly want to. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I have coffee with 2 sets of friends each week. I help at the school once a week or so. I workout every am after I walk the dog. I run errands before dc get home and then it's soccer, piano, etc., homework, dinner etc [ Reply | More

but what would you do if DH divorced you, or you found yourself having to work for whatever reason? who would do all those things that you do including dog walking, errands,etc? [ Reply | More

Oh I grew up in a "do what you have to do" high work ethic family. I was an elem teacher before dc and could work and downsize in a heartbeat. I take nothing for granted but thoroughly enjoy the good things now. [ Reply | More

I sah because the things I take care of during the day create a much more relaxed household for dh and dc - I am home when they are home, things are done, meals are ready -very different dynamic than 2 working parents. And we choose this because we think this is best for dc and our family [ Reply | More
