My brother, who by the way left his kids to me should something happen, told me last weekend he feels children should be raised by their mothers. I work, his wife stays home. He made a comment years ago that should he die, I need to quit my job. Should I let his comment roll off my back bc clearly he thinks Im a good mother if he chose me over other siblings for his kids..or should I push him. I wouldnt think I would quit my job to watch a housefull of kids unless it was absolutely necessary.. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Your brother needs to wake up and smell the coffee. nearly 70% of American moms work outside the home (FT or PT). he sounds very egotistical and old-fashioned. so many women work for the intellectual and personal growth, to help pay bills and increasingly more are main breadwinners!!! also, kids go to school 8 am to 3 pm so what are you going to do, play tennis, get your nails done and dust the piano five times a day ??!!!!
